Cyber Monday Secrets

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend, and shopping on Black Friday. I did not post any Black Friday deals because they all expired as quickly as I could have posted them. So, it would not have helped you at all and would have probably just made you mad when you saw the great deals here but when you got to the online stores, the deals were already gone. I will let you in on some Cyber Monday information though. All the stores that you like to shop in, go to their websites later on today. They are all posting Cyber Monday sales starting today. I guess it is their way of getting every single sale they possibly can get. All the regulars like Walmart, Kmart, Sears, JCPenney, Target, and others are all posting deals starting today versus tomorrow morning. So, go to your favorite store's website and check out all the deals they are offering for Cyber Monday (and Sunday) and make note of the starting times. Then, start shopping an hour before the sales start and get those items into your shopping cart. Try and check out at the time the sales start. This way all the items in your cart will be there when the sale starts. I found that a lot of stores sold out of items when those items were still in people's shopping carts (mine included) during Black Friday. If you want to get everything that is in your cart you will have to check out as fast as you can. All the stores will not hold things that are in your shopping cart. Their motto is "first with pay conquers the day". In other words, they don't know if the item you put in your cart is a sale. You might put it back. So, if there is someone at the checkout with payment, they will sell it to them immediately. And the customer with the item in their cart who hasn't paid for the item yet, has just lost out. It happened to me about 5 times during Black Friday online at Walmart.com. I actually have items sitting in my cart for stores just waiting for Cyber Monday (and Sunday). So, the minute sales start I can go check out and guarantee I will get those items. So, spend today checking out stores online and put things in your shopping cart that you want. Then, come back later today and tomorrow and get those items with confidence.

Back From Amsterdam Vacation

Hi everyone. I am finally back from my European vacation and also an upgrade to my computer system. While the system was down and the blog wasn't being written I was away in beautiful Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Yes - Holland, the wood shoes, and windmills. Actually, Amsterdam is a wild and wonderful city. Anything and everything goes there. It is very fast-paced, edgy, and multi-cultured. The shopping there was excellent. It has been a dream of mine for about 15 years to go there. And it was everything I dreamed it was. The only bad thing was the jet lag I experienced coming home. It has taken me two days to recuperate. Traveling to Holland took two days to get there and back, so it was a long time on two planes each way and long layovers. But the time I spent there was incredible and the memories will last me a lifetime. If you ever want to travel to Amsterdam, go for it! Take it from me, it will be the best vacation you will ever have. Anyway, it is great to be back home and back to work. And just like Las Vegas, what happens in Amsterdam stays in Amsterdam!

Sick As A Dog...

Hi everyone,
       Well, my blog today is going to be none of the normal shopping goodies because I am sick as a dog. I am in bed with the flu. I have been there since Wednesday. I suggest everyone get a flu shot this season because this one is a doosie! I did want to comment on one thing that has nothing to do with shopping. This week, the news has been flooded with the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners. I was so moved this week seeing those men come out alive from that black underground tomb. It warmed my heart how so many countries came together to help rescue these men. I was also impressed that Americans went to Chile to help with the rescue. And a shout out to NASA for building the needed shock absorbers and inline wheels for the simple looking capsule that brought these men back to their families and friends. I am so glad I got to witness such a wonderful "mission accomplished"! Vive' Chile!

A Simple Little Website With Good Prices

       Happy Thursday everyone. I hope you are all finding ways of saving money on your daily shopping. We are trying really hard to bring you discounts and free product samples all the time. Some of the deals require online registration and getting an extra e-mail account will help keep your primary e-mail in-box free of all the extra e-mails you will get. Since you will know the extra e-mail account is just for freebies, you can set a special day of the week or time to sit and go through all your e-mail deals.
       The majority of freebies are food, cosmetics, and health items. These 3 industries spend millions of dollars a year to give out free samples of their products so consumers will try, and hopefully buy their products. But this is great news for you, the consumer. You get to try out products all for free! There are also other industries that give out freebies, but just not as often. If a company has a product they want you to try they will definitely have a way for you to get it and try it. You just need to know where to look. Company websites are the first place to begin. Is It Really FREE?

The subject for today's blog is the word "Free" and how often everything associated with the word "Free" is not. I tend to notice this most often on websites that promote free items. They are never free. They always come with a catch, and I am so tired of that. I look on websites for free coupons but in order to get the free coupon you have to sign up for the site and complete 3 offers (which costs money) just for something that was supposed to be free. What is that all about? This happens all the time now on the Web. I also find websites for free product samples only to find out the free sample is going to cost me something. And most times it comes at a price that is not worth the supposed free sample. If the website would say in the beginning that the free sample came at a cost I wouldn't feel so mad. But too often, it's disguised in the small fine print. That is why on this blog site when a posting says it is a "free" sample, you get that sample for free with no strings attached. And if there are ever any conditions that come with a free sample or free product, you will know about it right up front. The term "nothing's for free" does not apply to this blog site. We search all over the Internet every day to find you free samples and free products that don't come with a catch.

     Walmart.com also has Free Music Downloads. They usually feature between 4 - 10 bands. These Free Music Downloads change every week also, so you can really build up a big music collection. And best of all, it's all completely Free! The Free Music Download link is right under the Free Samples link. Walmart.com also has a new "Free Tools" link located on the Free Samples page. No, you don't actually get free tools like hammers, and saws. What you do get are tools to help you with personal things like a Free BMI Calculator, a Calorie Burn Calculator, a Food Swapper (shows you which foods are better for you than others), an auto Fuel Savings link, a Lunch Savings link, and an Over-the-Counter Medicine Finder. And finally, Walmart has a "Special Savings" link on the same page as the other links that offers discounts on Internet Service and Amusement Parks, to name a few. If you are also looking for free recipes, Walmart.com offers a bunch of them on their "Food and Recipe Center" link. It's just one of many great free items on the Walmart.com web site. And don't forget to check out Walmart's "Clearance" section found on the main page of the site.
